Grand Opening of the Los Nietos Library Takes Place on November 18, 2017

On November 18, 2017 the new Los Angeles County Library in Los Nietos officially opened its doors to an enthusiastic Los Nietos community. The Los Nietos library was made possible through a joint-use agreement with the Los Angeles County Library and the Los Nietos School District. Located at the corner of Slauson and Duchess Avenue on the corner of the Los Nietos Middle School field, the new Los Nietos Library is almost 3,000 sq. feet larger than the old library.

Former Fourth District Supervisor, Don Knabe, and current Fourth District Supervisor, Janice Hahn, were in attendance to welcome community members and thank the Los Nietos School Board for making the joint use library project a reality.

Los Nietos Board President, Nick Aquino, provided comments and introduced the other four members of the Los Nietos School Board of Trustees for their support and leadership with the joint-use project.

After the speeches were given, the County Supervisors, Board of Trustees, and Superintendent Vasquez cut the ribbon and welcomed the Los Nietos community into their beautiful new library.
