Rancho Santa Gertrudes School Jog-A-Thon raises over $1,500.00 on April 29, 2017

On April 27, 2017 Rancho Santa Gertrudes students participated in a school Jog-A-Thon fundraiser raising over $1,500.00 to help support student extra-curricular activities. Principal Octavio Perez encouraged students and staff as they raced to accumulate as many laps as they could in the allotted time. Rancho’s Parent Teacher Club donated prizes to the students who ran the most laps during the Jog-A-Thon. Parents and grandparents were in attendance volunteering their time and cheering and encouraging their loved ones to keep running! Also in attendance was Superintendent Vasquez who helped lead students in stretching exercises and passing out water to thirsty and exhausted students.

Rancho’s Jog-A-Thon was one of the many non-food oriented fundraisers that Los Nietos Schools participated in this year as part of the Healthy Los Nietos initiatives. Los Nietos Schools participated in Jog-A-Thons, Color Runs, and Mud Runs this year and were very successful in raising funds for student activities.
