Los Nietos Educators Attend Second Professional Development Day of the Year on October 17, 2016

On October 17, 2016 the instructional staff of the Los Nietos School District attended the second pupil-free professional development day of the school year. Teachers, instructional assistants, school psychologists, and administrators attended professional development classes designed to support their knowledge with the new math adoption, integrating technology into classroom instruction, providing reading support to students not on grade level, and learning how to best support students behaviorally in special education classes.

Certificated and classified employees appreciated the opportunity to devote a full day, learning additional skills that will help them with the implementation of the new curriculum in the classroom. The third pupil-free day is scheduled for January 9, 2017.
