On September 3, 2015 Los Nietos elementary teachers invited parents to attend the annual “Back to School Night” at Rancho Santa Gertrudes, Ada S. Nelson, And Aeolian Schools. Principals began each event by welcoming parents to the school and inviting them to join the Parent Teacher Clubs (P.T.C.) at each site. Further updates were given about upcoming events and then parents were released to attend informational meetings with their child’s new teacher.
Teachers at Ada S. Nelson, Aeolian, and Rancho Santa Gertrudes did an outstanding job of providing information to the parents about the grade level procedures, expectations, and academic standards that will be taught this school year. Teachers explained that students would have a greater opportunity this year to utilize technology in the classrooms and in the school computer lab(s) thanks to the Measure N Technology Bond that was passed in 2014.
Superintendent Vasquez, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Cardenas, Los Nietos Board President Aquino, Los Nietos Board Vice-President Escobedo, and Los Nietos Board Clerk Hernandez were in attendance at the sites to congratulate and thank teachers for making their rooms so appealing and visually attractive for both students and parents.
