On April 24, 2014, the Los Nietos School District Board of Trustees held their school board meeting at Ada S. Nelson School. Principal Marla Duncan and her staff welcomed the District Administration and Board of Trustees warmly as she and her staff presented on the academic review process the Ada S. Nelson staff went through this year.
Members of Nelson’s academic review team presented on the process they used to identify current trends, patterns, and areas for instructional improvement. The Board was impressed with the way the Nelson teachers and Mrs. Duncan worked collaboratively together to identify areas of strength at Nelson School and goal areas for the future.
Additionally, members of CSEA Chapter #380 presented on their learning experiences at this year’s California CSEA ParaEducator conference held in San Jose, California. CSEA members presented on the special education workshops they attended and specifically how they felt the autism workshops they attended helped provide them with beneficial strategies they felt would help them working with their special education students.
