On April 23, 2014, Superintendent Vasquez held the second Superintendent’s Advisory Team (S.A.T.) meeting of the year to provide updates about the Local Control Funding Formula (L.C.F.F.) meetings that were held throughout the District and the input that was elicited about the communities funding priorities.
Superintendent Vasquez explained to the S.A.T. Team members that in order to provide the Los Nietos community ample opportunities to provide input on LCFF funding priorities, many different venues and mediums were used to collect stakeholder input. In addition to holding two S.A.T. meetings, three district-wide LCFF meetings were held at three different schools, and LCFF surveys were provided to all parents, teachers, and classified employees. Additionally, on the Los Nietos School District’s website homepage, a Local Control Funding Formula and Accountability Plan contained information and surveys for the community. The input will be compiled and used in the district’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) which will be submitted to the Board in late May for a first reading, and in June for final approval.
Superintendent Vasquez, Assistant Superintendent of Business Doug McMasters, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Jacqueline Cardenas, answered the S.A.T. Team’s questions about the process and next steps before adjourning the meeting.
