At the December 12, 2013 Los Nietos School District Board Meeting, School Board Trustees Art Escobedo, Marisa B. Hernandez, and Silvia R. Monge, were sworn-in to new four-year terms. Additionally, the Los Nietos School Board of Trustees held their annual School Board Officer reorganization. Congratulations were given to new Board President Silvia R. Monge, Vice-President, Art Escobedo, and Clerk, Marisa B. Hernandez.
Prior to the school board swearing in ceremony, Superintendent Vasquez presented President Hernandez with a plaque and thanked her on behalf of the Los Nietos School District Community for serving with distinction as 2013 School Board President.
Before Superintendent Vasquez administered the oath of office to Trustees Hernandez and Escobedo, members of their family participated in a ceremonial swearing-in. Trustee Escobedo’s son Daniel performed the swearing-in oath with his father, as did Trustee Hernandez’s mother, Laura Bribiescas. Trustee Monge was administered the oath of office by Rancho Santa Gertrudes School Principal, Octavio Perez.
Following the administering of the oath of office to the three trustees, a short recess was called in order to provide an opportunity for family and friends to congratulate Trustees Escobedo, Hernandez, and Monge.
