The Los Nietos School District Board of Trustees, Superintendent Jonathan Vasquez, and District administration bid a fond goodbye to Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Mary McNeil, on August 1, 2013. Superintendent Vasquez would like to publicly thank Dr. McNeil for her service the past four years to the students, staff, and parents of the Los Nietos School District. Dr. McNeil officially left the Los Nietos School District on August 2nd to accept a promotion as new Superintendent of the Needles Unified School District. As the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services for the Los Nietos School District, Dr. McNeil exhibited a rare blend of professionalism, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for student achievement that made her tenure memorable to the staff. The Los Nietos School District community wishes Dr. Mary McNeil the best of luck and success as the Superintendent of Needles Unified. The loss of the Los Nietos School District is the Needles Unified School District’s gain.
