More than half of the district's teachers from every school site and Asst. Superintendent Mary McNeil attended Whittier College's Common Core Conference on Saturday, April 27th. Los Nietos teachers were excited to learn that they are already doing many of the strategies that will be necessary to meet the Common Core State Standards. Training and preparation will continue throughout the next year before full implementation in Fall 2014.
