During the week of March 25-28, Nelson Elementary School hosted “Bring Your Parent to School Week”. The event which was sponsored by Principal Marla Duncan, allowed parents the opportunity to observe both their child’s English Language Arts instruction as well as the effective strategies teachers use to help students do their best on the California Standards Test. It also gave teachers the opportunity to demonstrate to parents some of the instructional strategies that they could also use at home with their students.
