Aeolian and Ada S. Nelson schools began the Los Nietos School District’s "Read Across America" celebration on March 1, 2013. March 2nd is the birthday of children's author Theodore Geisel who is known more commonly as Dr. Seuss. Los Nietos elementary schools will be celebrating “Read Across America” over the next two weeks as guest readers from the community will come and share their love of reading with the students. Rancho elementary school will be celebrating their literacy day on March 7, 2013.
Aeolian Principal Becky Speh and Ada S. Nelson Principal Marla Duncan got into the spirit of the day by dressing up during morning assemblies. The students at both schools enjoyed having guests in their classrooms and listening to the readers share with them their favorite Dr. Seuss book.
Both principals enjoyed showing school board members Nick Aquino and Marisa Hernandez around their schools, and having them read to their students.
