Los Nietos Middle School Back to School Night a Huge Success on 9/18/12

On Tuesday, September 18th, the Los Nietos Middle School staff welcomed parents and students to the annual Back to School Night. Principal Jacqueline Cardenas proudly greeted parents in the school auditorium to discuss the recent school renovations as well as the results of the 2012 California Standards Tests.

Parents were pleased to see and hear how the single point of entry that was put in this summer in the front of the school was created to keep students safe and secure throughout the day. Principal Cardenas told the parents in the packed school auditorium, that the Los Nietos Middle School is projected to grow over 20 API points when the official California Department of Education results are released in a few weeks. Additionally, the Los Nietos Middle School is projected to be one of the only middle schools in the area to meet all Federal and State academic targets. The middle school staff received a rousing round of applause for their hard work before they were released to their classrooms to greet parents and discuss grade level expectations for the students this year.
