Los Nietos Schools Prepare for the California Standards Tests by Holding Pep Rallies on May 4, 2012

On May 4, 2012, the Los Nietos School District held California State Testing (CST) Pep Rally’s at all four school sites in preparation for the two weeks of State testing beginning on May 7, 2012 through May 18, 2012. The principals at Ada S. Nelson, Aeolian, Rancho Santa Gertrudes, and Los Nietos Middle School enthusiastically spoke to their students encouraging them to get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, maintain positive behavior, and to do their very best during the two weeks of State testing.

Additionally, teachers at the elementary school sites showed their school spirit by competing in fun games intended to illicit smiles and laughter from the school community prior to the “high stakes” testing period. The Los Nietos Middle School Band, student dancers, and a guitar soloist played at the Los Nietos Middle School pep rally. Each school set a goal at the beginning of the year to achieve an API Score of 800 or above on the CST exams this year. With the school enthusiasm generated at the May 4th pep rallies, the Los Nietos students and staff are prepared and eager to begin the California Standards Tests!
