On October 14, 2011, Rancho Santa Gertrudes Principal Octavio Perez, distributed close to 500 certificates and medals to students for their stellar performance on the 2011 California Standards Tests. Additionally, the day was a source of great pride for their school as they celebrated making all 19/19 Federal AYP targets and for attaining an API score of 800!
Students received medals for scoring Proficient or Advanced on the California Standards Test in Language Arts, Mathematics, or both. At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Perez was presented with an early “Bosses Day” gift by a grateful teaching staff that thanked him for his leadership at Rancho Santa Gertrudes.
