Aeolian School Celebrates Outstanding Achievement on the 2011 CST Exams on-10/7/11

On October 7, 2011, Aeolian School awarded over 400 medals to students for outstanding performance on the 2011 CST exams. Aeolian Principal, Amber Lee-Ruiz, welcomed parents to the newly refurbished rose garden assembly area. Medals were awarded to students who scored proficient or advanced in either the language arts or mathematics portions of the test, or for students who went up a band from the previous year.

Additionally plaques were given to students who had the highest scores in their grade level. Superintendent Vasquez and Assistant Superintendent McNeil were asked to present special trophies to students who scored 500 or higher on either the language arts or mathematics portions of the CST. Three students received a special trophy for achieving a perfect score of 600 on the CST exam. Those three students will be invited to an upcoming Los Nietos School District Board Meeting along with students who scored 600 from Ada S. Nelson, Rancho, and the Los Nietos Middle School.

Seeing the students run down the red carpet to thunderous applause to receive their academic achievement awards demonstrated clearly to all in attendance why Aeolian school has grown 148 API points in four years. Principal Ruiz, the parents, staff, and students value high achievement, celebrate academic excellence, and work together to promote student success.
