On September 30, 2011, Ada S. Nelson School celebrated the academic accomplishments of the 2nd-6th grade students on the 2011 California Standards Test. Principal Marla Duncan welcomed parents, students, and teachers to a truly spectacular assembly that honored students in language arts and mathematics. Students were given medals for scoring Proficient, Advanced, or moving up a band on their 2011 CST exam. Additionally, a few select students received a trophy for receiving either a perfect score of 600 on the language arts or mathematics portion of the CST exam.
