On September 15, 2011, Aeolian Principal, Amber Lee-Ruiz spoke to a packed cafeteria auditorium of parents welcoming them to the 2011-2012 school year. Parents were excited to hear about the school construction that had gone on during the summer that improved the plumbing, electrical wiring, and upgraded the asphalt around the school. Principal Ruiz, the Aeolian PTC, Aeolian Staff, and the District maintenance crew worked extremely hard to get the school in such pristine shape for the Back to School Night event. Although the Aeolian Community is appreciative of the upgrades that have improved their school, everyone will be happy when the final upgrades are completed in the next couple of months.
Throughout the Back to School Night, parents supported the Aeolian PTC fundraising efforts by purchasing the delicious taco plates, which featured rice and beans. Principal Ruiz escorted Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Mary McNeil, and Los Nietos School Board President, Nicholas Aquino, around the school greeting parents and an energetic Aeolian teaching staff.
