On September 15, 2011, Ada S. Nelson School Principal, Marla Duncan, welcomed new and returning parents to the 2011 Back to School Night. As she proudly introduced her staff, parents applauded the teachers teaching their children this year. Prior to parents meeting their new teachers, the Nelson PTC held a fundraiser dinner of chicken, pizza, and spaghetti.
Flanked by Los Nietos Board Member Raymundo Chacon, Mrs. Duncan greeted parents and smiled appreciatively all night at her teachers who worked so tirelessly to make their rooms so inviting and warm for the parents.
