All four schools of the Los Nietos School District opened their doors and welcomed the new 2011-2012 students to their campus this morning. All three elementary school principals were pleased to meet the new kindergarten students and parents. This Los Nietos School District is offering kindergarten classes at a ratio not higher than 20 students to 1 teacher this year at Aeolian, Ada S. Nelson, and Rancho Santa Gertrudes School. New kindergarten parents were pleased that their students would be learning in such small classes all year. Additionally, Principal Cardenas at the Los Nietos MIddle School was pleased to see such eager and energetic new students ready to learn at her school.
Teacher's rooms were bright, inviting, and clearly displayed the instructional grade level expectations at all four of the schools. Superintendent Vasquez visited all of the classrooms in the district and found it easy to see that teachers had put in countless hours of preparation in order to make their classrooms inviting to their new students on the first day of school.
