At the February 9, 2011 Los Nietos School Board meeting, Aeolian School Principal Amber Lee-Ruiz presented to a packed room the many activities and programs that makes her school a special place for students to attend. Mrs. Lee-Ruiz recognized parents, teachers, and students for their many accomplishments and their contributions that help make Aeolian an ideal learning environment for students. As part of her presentation, students in the Garden Club presented school board members and district administrators with lettuce that they had grown in their school garden.
Additionally, Mrs. Lee-Ruiz recognized Maria Aguila, Nancy Mercado and Cindy Waugh, Parent Teacher Club volunteers for their contributions to the school; specifically their hard work in making the Aeolian carnival a huge success.
To the surprise of Mrs. Lee-Ruiz, Aeolian’s Parent Teacher Club members publicly thanked her for her hard work and dedication to the students and parents of Aeolian School. Presenting her with a beautiful bouquet of roses and a standing ovation from the audience, Mrs. Lee-Ruiz emotionally accepted the gratitude of the Aeolian parents for making a significant difference in the lives of their children.
