As part of the Los Nietos School District's 150th anniversary celebration this year, Ada S. Nelson School hosted the second of four scheduled carnivals on January 22, 2011. Principal Marla Duncan and Nelson's Parent Teacher Club invited the Los Nietos Community to attend their annual Winter Carnival. The carnival included game booths, delicious food, community vendors, dancers, the fire department, and the California Highway Patrol. Nelson's staff, parents, and district staff volunteered to help make Nelson's school carnival a tremendous success.
The first sesquicentennial event was hosted by Aeolian School on November 6, 2010. The next District 150th school carnival will be hosted by Rancho Santa Gertrudes on March 26, 2011.
