In an effort to increase participation and engagement with the Los Nietos parents, the Los Nietos School Board conducted their January 13, 2011, Study Session at Ada S. Nelson School. The Study Session was designed to identify the sesquicentennial fundraising priorities for the coming year.
As a way to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Los Nietos School District, the Board agreed that any money raised through district fund raising endeavors should help support funding educational field trip opportunities for students, providing innovative grant opportunities for classroom teachers, providing visual/performing arts programs at the schools, and supporting additional book purchases for classroom and school libraries.
