On September 20, 2010, Ms. Kathy Tahmizian was honored as the 2010-2011 Los Nietos School District's Teacher of the Year. Each year the Los Angeles County Office of Education hosts a luncheon for all district level Teacher of the Year recipients in Los Angeles County. This year the luncheon was held at the Hilton Hotel in Universal City, California.
