Los Nietos Community Meeting to Discuss New County Library Held on September 17, 2015

On September 17th, County of Los Angeles officials held a community meeting in the Los Nietos Middle School Auditorium to discuss plans for the building of a new $7 million dollar public library. The library will be on the corner of Duchess and Slauson Avenue, which is currently part of the Los Nietos Middle School field.

Representatives from the Los Angeles County Library, Supervisor Don Knabe’s Office, and Board President, Nick Aquino spoke to about 50 community residents in attendance to discuss the library project that will be completed in the summer of 2017.

Members of the community were by in large very supportive of the project and thanked the school district, County Supervisor’s Office, and the County Library officials for working together to build something that will be a long-lasting benefit to the students and adults in the Los Nietos community.
