On May 27, 2015, Ada S. Nelson School celebrated their first annual “Mud Run” physical activity fundraiser. Nelson School made close to $5,000.00 for their school by having students gain sponsors for their completion of the “Mud Run” obstacle course. Students, parents, and staff members came to support their students and school as Nelson’s PTC sponsored the event. PTC member, Edith Marcel, was instrumental in helping to make the event happen and has invited the other schools to participate in a larger Mud Run next year.
At the end of the event Principal, Marla Duncan, thanked the Nelson PTC members for their help in sponsoring the event, and shared many smiles and mud-filled hugs with her students.
