PhotoShare Opportunity to Shape the History of Unincorporated Whittier posted August 17, 2016

Consider helping the County of Los Angeles Public Library create an online photo collection. As part of the Whittier Unincorporated Heritage Project, the Library is hosting PhotoShare events. Bring your historic photos, before 1980, and the library will convert them into high-quality digital images. Photos may include any photos of the area’s history. Some examples are of family celebrations, schools, street scenes, performances, and the people of Unincorporated Whittier. There are 6 additional dates available to share photos throughout August and September. On August 18, 2016 from from 10 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., the PhotoShare will be at our local Los Nietos Library. Other dates and locations are listed on the flyer. Flyers are available at the Los Nietos District office and in each of our school offices. You may also find the information under News and Announcements on our district’s homepage.

Please route questions to Heritage Project staff at 562-940-8458 or [email protected].

*Flyers available at our Los Nietos District Office and at each of our school offices.
