On June 14, 2016 the Los Nietos School Board received a painting of Rancho Santa Gertrudes School from former student Aranzazu Gonzalez called, “Good Morning Little Braves”. Ms. Gonzalez presented the picture to the Board and thanked them for the education that she received while a student in the district. The support of her teachers and Superintendent Vasquez, who was her principal at Rancho Santa Gertrudes elementary school at the time, helped her develop her creativity and her passion for art.
The Los Nietos School Board accepted the painting with gratitude and said they would display it in the Boardroom for all to see. Superintendent Vasquez asked Ms. Gonzalez if she would consider doing paintings of the other three schools in the district to be displayed in the Boardroom and she said she would work with the District to try and make the paintings become a reality.
