COVID-19 Protocols
Los Nietos School District is committed to returning to campus for in-person learning in a safe and healthy way. Below you will find the Covid-19 protocols that will be enforced for our in-person summer learning program.
Hygiene Protocols


Arriving on Campus
- Students must complete a self assessment survey before arriving at school every day
- Staff will verify that each student has completed the survey
- Temperatures will be taken before entering school sites
- If a student arriving for school displays symptoms of COVID-19, they will be asked to attend classes remotely

Classroom Protocols

- Desks will be socially distant with Plexiglass dividers
- Students & teachers are required to wear PPE at all times
- All supplies will be student specific
- Classrooms are cleaned and disinfected on a nightly basis per CDC recommendations
- Capacity for each classroom will be 14-16 students

Protocols for Meals
- Students will be provided a snack that must be eaten outside while socially distant
- Students are allowed to bring their own snack that can be eaten outside
- At the end of the day students will be given lunch that must be eaten at home as well as breakfast for the following day
- Students will not be able to have their breakfast on campus. It must be eaten before arriving to school




Protocols for Entry / Exit
- Each site will have a designated entry and exit point for each grade level
- Staff will have separate designated entry and exit points
- Socially distant floor markers will be placed at entry points to ensure social distancing is enforced
- Reminder signs are at entry points reiterating our Covid-19 protocols
- Each site will have signage enforcing one-way pedestrian traffic in hallways

Positive Cases & Symptoms
- Parents will be notified if a student or staff member tests positive or is exposed to Covid-19
- Any student who begins showing symptoms or has a positive test during school will be placed in a designated isolation room

Restrooms & Recess Protocols
- Restrooms will be disinfected at least 3 times a day
- Teacher will take classes to the restrooms at designated times
- There will be one staff member monitoring the restrooms to ensure there is no more than 2 students in the restroom at a time
- There will be adult supervision during recess to assist with ensuring students maintain social distance
- Students can use the restroom during recess, but no more than 2 students can be in at a time
