COVID-19 Protocols
Los Nietos School District is committed to returning to campus for in-person learning in a safe and healthy way. Below you will find the Covid-19 protocols that will be enforced for the 2021 - 2022 school year
COVID-19 Contact Protocols
Los Nietos School District has protocols in place for persons who have tested positive for COVID-19 at any of our sites. For the full list of protocols regarding COVID-19 contact, please click Here
Hygiene Protocols


Masking Requirement
- All Staff, Students, and Visitors entering school grounds must wear a face covering
- Students, Staff, and Visitors may remove their masks while outside
- Students with disabilities or health concerns can provide a doctor's note indicating that they cannot wear a face covering
- Face shields are an option if masks can't be worn by the students
- Students will not be excluded from school if unable to wear face masks during the day because of disabilities or medical issues

Classroom Protocols
- CDC guidelines for capacity limits will be adhered to
- Students & teachers are required to wear PPE at all times
- Students will have a designated device for in-class use and one for at-home use
- Classrooms are cleaned and disinfected on a nightly basis per CDC recommendations

Protocols for Meals
- Students will eat breakfast in their classrooms
- Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria with their classmates




Positive Cases & Symptoms
- Parents will be notified if a student or staff member tests positive or is exposed to Covid-19
- Any student who begins showing symptoms or has a positive test during school will be placed in a designated isolation room

Restrooms & Recess Protocols
- Restrooms will be disinfected at least 3 times a day
- There will be one staff member monitoring the restrooms to ensure there is no more than 2 students in the restroom at a time
- Students can use the restroom during recess, but no more than 2 students can be in at a time
