Los Nietos School District Hosts Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser/Los Nietos LIbrary Groundbreaking on November 14, 2015

On November 14, 2015 the Los Nietos School District will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser at the Los Nietos Middle School from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funds will benefit the “Feed the Families” program that provides food baskets and toys to Los Nietos School District families that are in financial need. For the past 10 years the Los Nietos School District has partnered with the South East Los Angeles Consortium (SELAC) to sponsor the “Feed the Families” program. 100% of the proceeds raised by the pancake fundraiser will go to the “Feed the Families” program. The theme of the event is “Being a Super Hero in the Los Nietos Community”, and guests are encouraged to dress-up in their favorite super hero costume. 3 first place prizes will be awarded for the most-original super hero costume contest that will be held at 10:00 a.m. The costume contest will be in three age categories: TK-3rd, 4th-6th, and 7th-8th

Breakfast tickets are being sold for $5.00, which will enable guests to enjoy a breakfast consisting of pancakes (syrup/butter), eggs, sausage, and choice of drink (milk, juice, coffee). Games and activity booths and donated raffle prizes will also be present during the event.

Additionally, Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe is scheduled to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on the Los Nietos Middle School field to commemorate the beginning phase of the new $7 million dollar Los Nietos Library that is scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2017. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled to take place between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.

The Los Nietos School District would like to invite the Los Nietos Community to attend the pancake fundraiser, and also to witness history as the new Los Nietos/Los Angeles County Library takes a closer step to becoming reality.
