Carlee-Anne Moyer Named 1 of 16 Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year on September 18, 2015

On September 18, 2015 Los Nietos Teacher of the Year, Carlee-Anne Moyer was introduced as one of sixteen Los Angeles County Teacher’s of the Year for 2015. Each year all 80 school districts in Los Angeles County select a district-level Teacher of the Year, and those teachers are invited to apply for consideration as one of the sixteen County Teacher’s of the Year. Carlee-Anne is the first Los Nietos Teacher to be recognized as a Los Angeles County-Wide Teacher of the Year and she now moves onto the State competition where she will be competing against 50-60 other outstanding teachers from all the counties in California.

All teachers in Los Angeles County who were recognized as Teacher of the Year in their school districts were recognized at the annual Los Angeles County Office of Education Teacher of the Year luncheon. Carlee-Anne was joined at the luncheon by her family, friends, and Los Nietos School District administrators who all wished warm and heartfelt congratulations to her for receiving her award.

In addition to certificates from the Los Angeles County Office of Education and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, she received gifts from Lakeshore, Nasco, and a $1,000.00 check from California Credit Union.

The Los Nietos School District would like to congratulate Carlee-Anne Moyer for being named a Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year for the 2015-2016 school year, and wish her the best of luck in the State competition.
