At the October 9, 2014 Los Nietos School District Board meeting, Trustees voted to approve the selection of Ralph Salazar as the District’s new Director of Maintenance and Operations. Upon the hiring of Director Salazar, the Board adjourned the meeting to appropriately congratulate Director Salazar and his family on his new position.
Director Salazar follows in the footsteps of former Director of Maintenance and Operations, Rick Vasquez, an employee who served with distinction for 37 years in the Los Nietos School District. Since the retirement of Rick Vasquez in August, Mr. Salazar had assumed additional responsibilities enabling the maintenance and operations department to meet the needs of all four schools while the selection process took place. Mr. Salazar has been a member of the Los Nietos School District for the past 6 years working as a gardener, warehouseman, maintenance worker, carpenter, mechanic, and custodial worker. He is currently attending UCLA and is anticipating receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Construction Management/Engineering in July of 2015.
