On November 17, 2017 the Los Nietos School District Board of Trustees recognized students who received perfect scores on the 2017 SBAC assessments this year.
Nelson sixth grade student, Metzli Garcia, was recognized for her perfect score in Language Arts when she was a fifth grade student. Los Nietos Middle School seventh grade student, Emily Rizo, was recognized for achieving a perfect score for the second year in a row when she was a Nelson sixth grade student.
Nelson Principal, Marla Duncan, introduced the students to the Board and described how proud the Nelson School community was of her student's academic accomplishments. After the students received an award of recognition, they along with their parents were invited to take a picture with the Board and receive congratulations for being two of the Los Nietos School District's finest students!
