At the July 26, 2017 Los Nietos School Board Meeting Trustees recognized Cary Furnish for his work as the Los Nietos Middle School Band director for almost a decade. For the past nine years Mr. Furnish has taught seventh and eighth grade band classes to students at the Los Nietos Middle School. Employed by the Whittier Union High School District as the Pioneer High School Band Director, Mr. Furnish has taught two periods of band to the 7th and 8th grade students at the middle school since 2008.
Accompanying Mr. Furnish to receive his award of recognition was Pioneer High School Principal, Lilia Bozigian. The Los Nietos School District Board of Trustees thanked Mr. Furnish for showing such care and dedication to the Los Nietos students and then wished Principal Bozigian luck and success leading the students at Pioneer High School.
