On January 11, 2017 the Long Beach Aquarium mobile lab called “Aquarium on Wheels” came to visit the students of Aeolian School. The “Aquarium on Wheels” program is designed by the Long Beach Aquarium to bring aquatic life to students through an interactive auditorium and classroom experience. Long Beach Aquarium educators led students through an exploration of the Pacific Ocean through the touching of a sticky sea anemone, a spiny sea star, and the rough textured skin of a shark. About 80 6th grade students had the opportunity to visit the mobile tidepool exhibit, and learn more about the marine life found off of California’s shores.
