Los Nietos School District Staff Participates in Third Pupil-Free Professional Development Day on January 9, 2017

On January 9, 2017 the instructional staff of the Los Nietos School District attended the third pupil-free professional development day of the school year. Teachers, instructional assistants, school psychologists, maintenance staff, and administrators attended differentiated professional development classes designed to support their knowledge with the new language arts adoption, positive behavior modification with special needs students, curriculum alignment, understanding and preparing for the State Physical Fitness testing for 5th and 7th grade students, and reviewing new guidelines for the use of pesticides in the District.

 

Certificated and classified employees appreciated the opportunity to devote a full day to learning additional skills that will help them better support their students in the classroom. The fourth pupil-free day is scheduled for April 17, 2017.
